Terry Whalen. Founder and CEO


Terry founded CPC Search in 2005 in the beautiful Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Throughout his marketing career, Terry has managed search & other online marketing channels that have generated millions of dollars in revenue for his clients.

Prior to founding CPC Search, Terry marketed GoToMyPC software via PPC and other online marketing channels, helping to generate tens of millions in revenue and leading to a $225 million acquisition of GoToMyPC by Citrix Systems in 2003. From 1998 to 2001 he was CEO of Epitonic, a 30-person online music company based in San Francisco. Epitonic was backed with $3.5 million from CNET and angel investors, and was sold in 2001 to Chris Blackwell's Palm Entertainment.

Terry received his MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, and his BA in Political Economics from UC Berkeley.

Terry is certified in Google Search advertising.

Joey Muller. Director of Client Services


Joey joined CPC Search in September 2011. He honed his holistic marketing approach by overseeing all channels of marketing, including PPC, SEO, email, social, and affiliate, for INDI, an online denim retailer. Joey is also a lifelong musician, having shared the stage with Willie Nelson, The Doobie Brothers, Darren Hayes (Savage Garden), Counting Crows members, and many others. Joey received his BA in Cognitive Psychology from Dartmouth College.

Joey is certified in Google Search advertising and Google Analytics.

Meylan Lim. Account Manager


Meylan joined CPC Search in January 2011. Before CPC Search, Meylan held positions in teaching, customer service and technical research, working with organizations such as Free Range Thinking and Integrative Learning International, Inc. Meylan received her BA in Communication Arts.

Meylan is certified in Google Search advertising.

Thomas Porhel. Conversion Rate Specialist


Thomas joined CPC Search in August 2012. For the last 4 years Thomas has specialized in Conversion Rate Optimization: designing strategies, setting up tests, reporting on results, and developing follow up recommendations. Thomas received his masters degree in marketing from Toulouse Business School (France).

Thomas is certified in Google Search advertising.

Grace Lim. Account Associate


Grace joined CPC Search in April 2011 after 8 years as Head Teacher at a private elementary school. Grace received a Masters in Management and a BS in Biology.

Grace is certified in Google Search advertising.

Maca Gonzalez Costa. Lead Creative Designer

Macarena joined CPC Search in December 2011. Her logo and web design skills have won her praise around the world. She earned her degree in graphic design from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Dan Engel. Advisor


Dan is an advisor to CPC Search, as well as the Co-Founder, SVP of Marketing, and Board Member at FastSpring. From 2005–2013, Dan was CEO of the company, a next generation e-commerce payment, merchandising & fulfillment solution for software products and SaaS services. Under Dan's leadership, FastSpring has been bootstrapped to become the #1 fastest-growing company in the Greater Los Angeles area and #13 in North America, according to the Deloitte & Touche 2011 Technology Fast 500™ awards covering the years 2006-2010 – with over 17,000% growth.

Prior to FastSpring, Dan was Marketing Manager at pre-IPO Google, where he led online advertising for the company's multi-billion dollar products, AdSense™ and AdWords™. Before Google, Dan was VP of Market Development at Picasa, a digital photo consumer software company that was sold to Google in 2004. Dan led Picasa's online marketing, sales, and business development initiatives, growing revenue by 7x. Today Picasa is a leading online photo destination with over 7 billion photos uploaded (exceeding Flickr) and 50 million unique monthly visitors.
